Old Crimea is the town with the great history. It
became the main town of the Gold horde, named Kyrym, the town reached such
greatness, that the Arabian annals called it the second Baghdad. From that
times the contemporary Old Crimea had ruins of a caravan - shed, a mint.
Also remaind a mosque and медресе , built in 1314 at the time of khan
Uzbek. Ruins of later mosque known as Kurshum-Jamy (the Lead Mosque)
remained too. |

The tragic events have left the trace at the end of 13 centuries in Armenia. The Armenian refugees in 1315 have based monastery Surb-khach (the Saint Cross) in five kilometers to the West from the town. |

Old Crimea has a reputation of a town with a favourable conditions for healthy long life. The reason of it were extraordinary natural properties of these places. In the north the town is protected from cold winds by the mountain Agarmysh. |

The sea makes its air fresh and mild. A lot of medicinal plant can be found in the suburbs of the town. |

Green A.S. a famous Russian writer spent his last days in Old Crimea and was buried here. |
